Two Alums Have Opera Premieres

This fall marks the premieres at major American companies of operas by two Juilliard grads. The Metropolitan Opera will debut Two Boys by Nico Muhly (M.M. ’04, composition) on October 21; it runs through November 14. This tale of an online friendship gone badly wrong has a libretto by Craig Lucas and stars tenor Paul Appleby (M.M. ’08, A.D. ’10) and Alice Coote and features soprano Jennifer Zetlan (M.M. ’06, Artist Diploma ’09).
