Alums Take Home Emmys

Three alums were honored at the 2015 Emmy Award ceremony. Viola Davis (Group 22) became the first African-American woman to win a lead actress Emmy for her role in a drama, ABC’s How to Get Away With Murder, which began its second season in September. In her acceptance speech, Davis said, "The only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is opportunity." Bradley Whitford (Group 14) was recognized as best guest actor in a comedy series for Amazon Studios’ Transparent, and Bryan Cogman (Group 30), was part of the writing team for Game of Thrones, which won the best drama Emmy. Congratulations to them, and to all the alums who were nominated.
