Gillian Jacobs was Puck and Nelsan Ellis played Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream when Group 33 presented it as part of their third-year Shakespeare repertory cycle in May 2003. The production was directed by Alex Correia, who completed Juilliard’s Artist Diploma Program for Theater Directors under the supervision of faculty member Andrei Belgrader. The March Journal featured a Time Capsule photo of Kazuko Hirabayashi teaching in the 1990s.

As it happens, the Time Capsule in the March Journal featured an early 1990s photo of Kazuko Hirabayashi (Diploma ’62, dance; faculty 1968–2011) teaching, and prior to Hirabayashi’s death this spring, several alums contacted us with some of the photo IDs. The missing caption should read as follows, with everyone but the student whose face is behind Hirabayshi identified. Student dancers from left: Sabrina Sandvi Berry (BFA ’94); Eddie Buggie (BFA ’94; former residence hall director), Ricardo Iazzetta (Diploma ’94), Leajato Robinson (BFA ’94), and Take Ueyama (Diploma ’95).
