What job at Juilliard would you like to try out for a day?

While it's not a job, I would love to trade places with a student for a day to take an acting or music course.

Your most memorable job?

I worked at Merrill Lynch as an intern during my last semester in college. My supervisor saw a lot of potential in my skill set, such as helping people and using my creativity in the I.T. field. She gave me the opportunity to design a website for the H.R. department, which was a great experience and one that led to a full-time position in the I.T. field upon graduation.

If Juilliard employees could learn just one thing about computers, what would it be?

Always lock your computer when you are away from your desk to protect your privacy—to do that, press the windows key and the L key simultaneously.

What's the most common helpdesk question?

How do I change my password?

If out of the blue your boss said to take the day off, what would you do with your free time?

I would check some popular New York events in the city or the parks, possibly see some art or shows, or treat myself to spa. Or I might just do a fun family day of bowling at Lucky Strike with my husband, Sherwin, and kids, Shamar (11) and Shamiah (9).

What are you listening to these days?

I love all types of music ranging from dance, soca, reggae, R&B, soul, pop, and electronic. Some of my favorite artists are Odesza, Bob Marley, Sade, Gemini, Major Lazer, Sizzla, and Bunji Garlin.

What other pursuits are you passionate about?

I love karaoke, music, dancing, and acting. I also love getting involved in projects that give to the community and help people. I've volunteered raising money for the United Way Campaign to help out those who are less fortunate and homeless. Helping in times of need is definitely essential, and it can put a smile on someone's face to know that there is a person out there who really cares about them.

What might people be surprised to know about you?

I have bowling and karaoke skills. Take me on either one and it's on.

What's your favorite karaoke song?

Beyoncé's “Grown Woman.”
