Edwin Arriaza
Edwin Arriaza, who has joined Information Technology as a help desk technician, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer engineering at the New York City College of Technology. Previously, he worked in the I.T. department of IDEO, a global design company. He enjoys playing basketball, experimenting with food, and watching sunsets.
Po Chan
Po Chan, the Vocal Arts projects administrator for curriculum, recently moved back to New York City after living in Hong Kong for 10 years. He comes to us from Kingston University, where he is completing his thesis on bel canto opera; he also studied voice at Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts and Mannes College of Music and has a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Columbia University, where he also studied music. Po has volunteered with numerous arts organizations and had a previous career in the financial sector.
Steve Doty
Steve Doty joins Information Technology as chief operations officer. Previously he was at Stroz Friedberg, where he was a managing director of technology and security risk consulting. His 20-plus years of experience include designing, implementing, and managing complex I.T. operations and teams. Doty holds an MBA from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business and a BA in communications from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Brandon Douthitt has joined Information Technology as a help desk technician.
Caitlin Dutton
Caitlin Dutton, who has joined Admissions as administrative assistant, is from Savannah, Ga., and came to New York to study at SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Dance. After performing nationally as a freelance contemporary dancer, she settled into a steady immersive theater career. Her administration background began with curating and programming for emerging N.Y.C.-based and international artists at Chez Bushwick/CPR—Center for Performance Research, which led her to the edit and sales staff at DanceMedia.
Candice McKiver
Candice McKiver, the schedule and administrative coordinator for the Registrar's Office, recently received her bachelor's degree in psychology at Kean University. She has a passionate love for music and taught herself how to play piano, guitar, and ukulele. Her favorite thing to do is sing.
Sarah Narhi
Sarah Narhi, Pre-College performance activities coordinator, completed her master's in arts administration and cultural policy at Goldsmiths, University of London, and her BA in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has worked with talented young musicians at the Longy School of Music, Berklee College of Music, and Walnut Hill School for the Arts and has been known to pick up a trumpet from time to time. Her most recent hobby is trying to figure out why she doesn't like contemporary art while visiting as many contemporary art museums as possible.
Shelby Nielsen
Shelby Nielsen, the new Development and Public Affairs development operations associate, came to us from the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, where she was the programs assistant and progressed to coordinator of development projects and special events. She has a background in theater and received her BS in arts administration from Wagner College.
Brandon Ojaste
Brandon Ojaste, senior help desk technician in Information Technology, previously worked as a genius at an Apple Store and more recently at AppNexus doing corporate I.T. Before arriving at Juilliard, he traveled to Ireland, Paris, London, San Francisco, and Austin, Tex., among other places; he also went to 48 out of 50 states during a seven-month road trip. In addition to traveling, he enjoys video games and finding great places to eat.
Verleen Philogene
Verleen Philogene, administrative assistant for Health Services, has a background in health promotion and preventive services and a bachelor's degree from SUNY Brockport, where she worked as a student health advocate and a prevention outreach service coordinator. Having played viola for 10 years, she has a strong appreciation for music.
Kate Northfield Lanich
Kate Northfield Lanich, orchestra personnel manager, previously worked as the orchestra manager of the Apollo Orchestra and at the Catholic University of America, both in Washington, D.C.; this past summer she worked at the Aspen Music Festival. A violinist who's originally from Annapolis, Md., she has also worked as an active freelancer and violin teacher, and she holds degrees from St. Mary's College of Maryland and Catholic University.
Edward Piniazek
Edward Piniazek, director of development operations, is originally from the Albany area and spent the last four years in Boston as a closeted Yankees fan who held various roles in the development office at the New England Conservatory of Music. When not listening to podcasts (Planet Money and Very Bad Wizards among others), he enjoys playing guitar, watching baseball, and working toward becoming a master guacamole maker.
Albert Rivera
Albert Rivera, assistant director of facilities management, received a computer information degree from Monroe College and also has a degree in heating, ventilating, and air conditioning. He previously worked at Deutsche Bank, N.Y.U., Investment Technology Group, and Hachette Book Group. Rivera has a security and fire safety background, and he is an American Red Cross-certified first aid/CPR/AED instructor. In his spare time, he volunteers at his church as a security guard and watches every N.B.A. game on TV.
Adrienne Stortz
Adrienne Stortz, who's joined Communications as director of sales, is passionate about all things digital arts marketing. She was most recently director of growth and marketing at Edify, a music education app start-up. Previously, she launched a digital marketing firm serving musicians and arts organizations, and prior to that, she was e-strategy manager at Carnegie Hall. In her spare time, she produces and hosts a weekly YouTube cooking show.
