Day in the Life
Second-year dancer Matthew Gilmore dreamed about coming to Juilliard from the time he was 9. A new Day in the Life video follows him from the time he leaves the dorm in the morning, through music, ballet, partnering, and other classes as well as New Dances and other rehearsals as he lives his dream.

Baroque as a Second Language
​Robert Mealy, artistic director of Historical Performance, and some of the students taking this class talk about it. “It's a great way of bringing in modern students to learn this language for the first time the same way they learn to speak Schoenberg or Wagner or Mozart,” Mealy says. “It's a very detailed language, but in a way, it's going back to total basics about how you approach music.”
