September 28, Juilliard presented a McGraw-Hill Young Artists Showcase featuring the winners of the 1994 Gina Bachauer International Piano Scholarship Competition, Blair McMillen (M.M. ’95, piano) and Theodora Satolia (B.M. ’96, M.M. ’98, piano). The recital was broadcast live on WQXR-FM with Robert Sherman (faculty 1991-2012) as host. Satolia performed three pieces from Goyescas by Granados and McMillen played Chopin’s Nocturne in D-flat Major, Op. 27, No. 2, Rachmaninoff’s Étude-tableaux in C Minor, Op. 39, No. 1, and Bartok’s Sonata (1926).
