Probably Brooklyn Bowl because it’s one of the most fun concepts for venues that I’ve encountered: it’s a combination of a concert venue and bowling alley with a lot of variety in music.

I don’t have one favorite venue. I go to a lot of new-music and early-music concerts which are in a wide range of venues such as Spectrum, the Gershwin Hotel, and Greenwich House Music.

My favorite outside of Juilliard is the Village Underground. They have a really fun R&B Open Mic Night [that’s often hosted by the] amazing singer Cheryl Pepsii Riley. One cool thing about it is that you can bring your own instruments. They’re really supportive and I’ve met a lot of talented people there.

Carnegie Hall is a fantastic venue. Every seat is a good one and some of my most memorable concert experiences have taken place there. Plus it’s easy to get great tickets with the student rush, and they host so many great performances.

My favorite venue would have to be New York City Center because it’s a beautiful theater with a lot of history and they offer a great variety of performances, such as Fall for Dance.

One of my favorites is Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. It's a beautiful space and it provides a congenial and intimate environment. Recently, Fabio Biondi and [Historical Performance faculty member] Kenneth Weiss gave a breathtaking concert of early violin and harpsichord music there.
